    Our Mission

We are committed to the development of youth football across Sussex.

Grassroots youth football is all about offering players a fun and enjoyable introduction to and continued experience in football. We want junior players to form a lifelong love of the beautiful game whilst developing their confidence and skills.

Mid Sussex Youth Football League (MSYFL) is committed to the England Football Grassroots Code. We believe in driving positive standards of behaviour to promote a positive, inclusive and respectful football experience for everyone.

    Our Story

MSYFL was formed in 1968. It has grown to become one of the largest youth football leagues in Sussex, with over 460 teams and 7600 players registered with us across age groups ranging from U7 to U18.

Our aim is to keep as many young people as possible playing football every week across the county. We are a volunteer-run league with a management committee made up of ex and current club officials, referees and ex-referees - all of whom share a passion for grassroots football and the benefits it brings young players.

We believe in fair play, inclusivity and respect in the sport. All our divisions are mixed - meaning girls and boys are all welcome.

    SAFEGUARDING

We take the safeguarding of all young players very seriously. We have a strict Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, and actively promote the protection of all our players throughout the league.

    RESPECT

We follow the FA Respect Codes of Conduct. We believe that we all bear a collective responsibility to set a good example and help provide a positive environment in which children can learn and enjoy the game.
